Student Statuses and other statuses

Every student added on the system has a status. "Current" being the active status where the student will show up everywhere on the system. By default, if the student was added via the public registration page then they will be added with the status "Waiting List". They will not be active.

Notes:

  • You can change the status in a few places. Please see the below how to guide.
  • "Current" status students are the only ones counted in the overall count of your package. Other statuses will not show up anywhere except for "Suspended" students that still show. Only the fees section will show "Left" students and all statuses because it's to do with finance and leaving does not mean they do not owe you anymore or that you didn't receive previous payments.
  • When changing the status from "Waiting List" to "Accepted" or "Current" it will automatically send an email to the contacts (parents) to inform them of this. You can edit the email template from Tools > Template Editor
  • When changing the status from "Current" to "Left" or any other left type status, you will get the options to:
    • delete all upcoming invoices
    • delete all daily register entries from the left date.
    • send a student left confirmation email to the primary contacts with fees information.
    • Note: You will only get these option on the student edit page under the status after you change the status.

How to change the status:

  1. On the page Students > Manage Students, you can simply click the status label in the table to change their status.
  2. By editing the students from Students > Manage Students > Actions > Edit or Student profile page, edit button. Then scroll around half way down to the find the status
Note: Teachers and admin staff members also have statuses that you can edit by editing the staff or teacher.
