Certificates

Go to Merits/Achievements > Certificates
To create a standard certificate, click on Create Certificates and:
  • Search the students who the certificates are for by name or part of the name in the search field and add them to the list.
  • Choose the template, you can preview the template ad well.
  • For a custom template, you'll need to create the custom template file. Instructions below.
  • Choose whether a gold, silver or bronze badge will show on the certificates
  • Add the title of the achievement e.g Outstanding Work
  • Issue date should also be added.
  • Specify whether the certificate will show on the parent portal or not. Useful to turn off if you want to print it or you're creating a draft only.

Creating a Certificate Template

  • Click on Create Certificate Template
  • Create your PDF certificate on your computer in the following format:
    YOUR LOGO
    This is to certify that...
    Student Name
    Has achieved
    Excellent Behaviour
    YOUR SCHOOL NAME & ADDRESS
  • Ensure your created PDF is in A5, A4 or A6 format in landscape or portrait.
  • The red border lines is to indicate where the placeholders for the student name, dates, etc. will go. You do not need to box it up in the template but you can if you wish.
  • Each red box and badge requires:
    1. the position from the top of the page to the start of the box at the top.
    2. the position from the left of the page to the start of the box on the left.
    3. The width of the box where the text will be centered.
    4. Optional: You can also set the text size and text colour of each box separately
  • The template will be created with standard settings. Once the template has been created, you can easily edit it from the templates editor.
  • You can also update the PDF layout file from the certificates section.
  • Give the template a name
  • Choose your PDF file
  • Specify the size of the PDF, e.g A4
  • Specify whether it's landscape or portrait.
  • Specify the positions of the placeholder blocks. It should be in CM
  • The click on Create Certificate Template to add the template
  • You can now select this template when creating certificates.
