Contributions (Other Fees)

From: v2.13.0

What is this?

  • These are fees collected from parents for anything other than the annual fees.
  • It is named as contributions to differenciate it from fees.

Here are some examples of its use:

  • One time admission fees
  • Contributions for books/stationary
  • Uniform funds
  • School trip
  • Raising money for projects

How it works

  1. Add the contribution e.g. "Registration Fees"
  2. To allow teachers to enter payments received via the teacher portal then check the option "Allow collection from teacher portal"
  3. When adding a new contribution, you can immediately assign students individually, as a class or all students.
  4. When editing, the option to assign contributions to students will not be there, to add students at a later stage, you much choose the "Assign" option - Our script will account for duplicates and only add the new students.

Ease of use

You can enter payments easily by clicking the contribution title (name) or the "payments" button in the list. From here, you can enter manual amounts, add notes, enter the full amount with a single click and filter students to find them easily when entering.

The system supports multiple entries so for a payment of £15, you can receive £5 then £7.50 and finally £2.50

Another feature to make it easy for you is that by assigning a class for a second time will simply synchronise new students to the assignments. Also, if you chose "All Class" then all new students will be added to the contribution assignment. This is useful for things like admission fees.
