You can add events and trips here and assign students/classes to the events for parents to opt-in here. It supports timeslot selection, payment collection or simply attendance of the event management.

Admins can also opt-in the contacts/parents to the event from the admin system

You can assign and unassign students to the events at will
Once you've added the event, it will not be available to parents if the event is not active and if you have no assigned students to it.
Events are assigned to students only, not the parents or teachers.
